The Twees
The Twees are a four piece band from New York, USA. Daniel Edwards (Drums), Jason Abrishami (Guitar and Vocal) Jon Zuckerman -(Guitar) and David Kaplan (Bass and vocal) bend between indie pop/punk/rock all in one rolled up burst of energy.
The Twees
I am given to reminders of The Ramones, with the high octane drum reflecting against a deceptively lazy guitar and echoed vocal. A passionate sound whisks the listener away in a whirl of activity, as The Twees lead the way confidently through a selection of music which can’t but help but act like an intravenous injection of contagious energy.
Delightful vocal jars superbly with guitar, which in turn rails against drum and bass, creating a sublime echo chamber in the ears. On hearing bands like The Twees I am reminded of all the reasons that I enjoy writing about music and even my email in-box looks somehow spruced up.
Manager-less, unsigned, a few releases behind them, gigs up-coming, the only thing that is missing for me is a live event here in the UK.
