The Drums

The Drums, a band formed by two friends who lived in different parts of the USA, decided Florida was the place to be. The line up of Jonathan Pierce (Vocals) Jacob Graham (Guitar) Adam Kessler (Guitar) and  Connor Hanwick (Drums), make sense to my ears, so The Drums have to have a slot on the indie bands blog.

The Drums

The music reflects an obvious influence from Joy Division as well as combining surf-pop, hardly a common fusion and it works extremely well. Having recently moved the New York, The Drums can be seen regularly, they recently had a really successful outing at the NYC popfest ’09 and have an EP out in September.
