The Stamps
The Stamps is an alternative rock-a-billy trio from Ashland in the USA. Formed in 2009, the current line-up is Robbie Lindauer (Vocals / Guitar), Joey Capezza (Bass) and Jeff Stanley (Guitar / Vocals).
The Stamps
Another great way to start the day. Beats which drive a desire to don blue brothel creepers and get on to the floor. Whilst the music serves superbly as merely momentariness, there is a depth of composition which makes it all sound so effortless. The Americana influences add an engaging tweak to the sound, while the bass drills along a steady beat.
I am not sure if they are mid drummer, or only ever use session drummers, but without the percussion of course this would never work, so it is with delight that although not a listed player the tempo is shaped by that rattling roll. The trio mutate a range of influences to the space in which they operate that creates some interesting structures that engage more than just the feet.
While the band is quite evidently enjoying the ride, their instrumental capability adds a longevity to the sounds which judder in to the room and I will certainly be adding The Stamps to my party night playlist.
