Princess Reason

Delving into the darker recesses of the mind Princess Reason takes its name appositely from the Norton Juster book – The Phantom Tollbooth – as we explore musically the perceptions of Stansbury.

I somehow fear I am introducing a sparkler, bright for a moment then to ever disappear, but as it now sits in the ionosphere and is equally as relevant, so it is time to take a moment or two. The tracks are brief but contain every texture they need and the mind is engaged as the rumbling sounds roll across the room.

The lower notes sound sublime as they push the sub-woofer to awakening and the higher the volume the better the textures explode into their disparate spaces. Sadly I have only had the opportunity to hear six brief tracks and I somehow feel I would be, even after 20 tracks insatiate, such is the depth of resonances.  Equally as intriguingly the material is being released, in addition to digital, on Cassette through the medium specialist label Tricot Records.

I hope that Princess Reason continue post University Campus as the sounds and thoughts add a much needed texture to the world of music.
