Under A Banner is a alternative rock band from Wolverhampton in England. Centred around Adam Broadhurst (Guitars / Vocals) and Jonathan Millington (Drums / Percussion) – they also utilise other players and a diversity of instruments where appropriate to add depth to the sounds they produce.

With sensitive use of rhythm guitar Under A Banner add a delicious texture which has a the ears coddled in warm waves of sound. Their confidence to add a range instruments to the mix adds significant structural dimensions to the music, that on the one hand has a gentle resonance that settles the audience in a warming ambience, there is an underlying energy which keeps the listener involved.
The material is surprisingly complex in construction with reaching chord progressions and flicks of tempo changes which are delivered, not merely to show-case composing skills, but to add value to the music. You just can’t help but be pulled in to the space in which the duo operate as the strength of the music captures the head. Celtic lilts can be heard wafting around the room, whilst snatches of structured Blues form a sold backbone, but it is the superbly crafted melodies that really engage.
Under A Banner is able to deliver powerful rock, with all the channels faded low and no lead to focus the mind. To achieve this is a testament to the subtle vocal delivery, song-writing abilities and orchestration competence that lies within the duo.
