The Analog Affair is the alternative electro-pop duo of Evan Baker (Vocals / Lyrics) and Cody Moser (Arrangement / Composition) based in Washington D.C. in the USA.
The Analog Affair
A gentleness melts out of the speakers as though spreading high cocoa content melted chocolate gloss, moreish but not sugar laden as the duo balance the interplay between vocal and electronics to provide the ears with a place they just want to be. The Analog Affair peer over the edge of experimental sounds, which enables the duo to deliver rich layers of textures whilst placing them in a recognizable context, ensuring a broader audience appeal.
Whilst the music gives a sense of loneliness as-though an outsider looking in, it doesn’t leave the listener feeling despondent as the very nature of the out-put gives a sense of belonging and understanding, perversely leaving leaving you in a lighter mood than when you arrived. Influences from mountain folk weave their way into a sound which has an urban tannin to it, creating something that has the potential to resonate with a global audience.
It is these very contradictions which make The Analog Affair in intriguing band as they deliver a sound that has an edginess rippling inside a sea of calmness and that is not an easy feat to achieve. I wish the duo every success over the coming twelve months and look forward to getting to know more about the development of the collaboration.
