Sine Circle
Sine Circle is the experimental ambient electronic composer Sassan Scott Zaker based in Minneapolis in the USA.
It must be Sunday as I write, as so often my email inbox finds itself in the luxurious creamy sounds when I get to Sunday morning. The band name gives a clue to the intentions of the music – seeking to circle a sinusoid. Whilst Pure and Applied Maths may fail in that respect, I am on the side of Sassan here, this is an absolute gem to wallow in.
Be it after leaving a bursting space or relaxing the following day, this is music that just refreshes at is massages the senses back in to some state of functionality. The sounds loop in a gentle curvature which encases the whole being in to a sense of calmness, whilst the relentless waves keep the mind active and engrossed. Delightful use of bass notes add a subtle and dynamic texture to the emergent wanderings of the higher pitches.
The only problem with the out-put of Sine Circle as far as a review is concerned, is that it is so difficult not to get lost in the hypnotic charms that this could easily take all day to getting round to hitting the publish button.
