Edine avec Lisle Mitnik et son orchestre

Edine avec Lisle Mitnik et son orchestre also known simply as Edine is the duo of Edine based in Hong Kong and England and Lisle Mitnik based in the USA who create their individualistic alternative indie collaborations through the internet.

Both play in other bands whilst finding time to collaborate and to get the momentum going have recently released their debut EP - The West Coast, which to add to the intrigue is available as a Limited Edition 7″ Vinyl through the Spanish Label - Elefant Records.

Edine avec Lisle Mitnik et son orchestre release sounds which harken back to the ’60s which are tinged with a nod to to the current space taking the listener on a journey away from the hurried spaces of the nine to five and out on a journey of escapism.

Dramatic melodies mark out the sound that the duo deliver as the vocals and instruments combine in a gentle soulful reflective that ranges from the upbeat to angst laden renditions which add aural emotive layers for playback in a variety of media.

The range of instrumental deployed is something of a surprise and even were the duo based in the same country would take time, given the geographic differences it is a testament to the way they have connected and capably deliver sounds that connect with the listeners very core.

I have had the opportunity to hear The West Coast in full and if this is an indicator of future plans, Edine avec Lisle Mitnik et son orchestre, should have a productive career.

This is so far off the beam of my core musical listening it may come as something out of the left-field, but these two are ones who have immediately made it on to my playlist.
