The YuYa | It’s Better – review
Eliseo Soardi and Constance Dalrymple make up the London Based outfit YuYa, who released their 2nd Single It’s Better on 1st August 2011.
Opening with It’s Better, the single immediately swathes the listener warming Meade. Intoxicating summer evening flavours waft out of the speakers as the the music wraps me up in a gently swaying breeze. Some clever deconstruction of rhythm demands engagement, as a diversity of percussion and lazy acoustics blend neatly to a guttural vocal.
Daughter, mixes Latin and North African snips to generate demand for another al-fresco session. Smartly crafted instrumentation adds depth to the output.
The YuYa have the ability to whisk the audience away to spaces warm and breezy, their debut Album, A Boy, A Queen and A Fish, due out in October is something to add to the diary.
For Now, It’s better is one to add to the summer playlists, available from *
