Meltybrains? – Now That We Have Your Attention

Opening with Intros Are So Original which finds the quintet revealing sounds which appear to emerge from the speakers via a kaleidoscope as the lush ambient electronics is gently blown across the room and before you are even aware of it nearly five minutes has passed by in a captivating aural trance.

Block Rockin’ has a more experimental feel as hip-hop and jazz are fused together in a track Meltybrains? use to deliver music that demands more of the listener. Jarred breaks scar across the track, forcing the brain to double take, whilst the music continues its journey.

SoupORsynth takes Now That We Have Your Attention on a smoother minds-eye journey. When I introduced the band earlier this month I made a comparison to an aural Dali and this, the final track on the release is a case in point, abstract yet containing immediately recognizable shapes of sound.
