We Have Band from Manchester in England is a three piece electro-pop outfit comprising Thomas Wegg-Prosser, Dede Wegg-Prosser and Darren Bancroft.

The interesting fact for me is that I received contact from Tell all your friends PR - based in the USA whilst their three so called UK promoters, couldn’t be bothered to lift hand to keyboard, but if you are in a band get to know who can’t be bothered other than to take your hard earned money…. that’s PR firms for you…. and I am sorry to the readers of the indie bands blog for yet another diversion, but you know by now, it doesn’t take too much to get me side-tracked.
Just before I head off to talk about the band, you know when you care about someone you loose the definite and indefinite article when speaking to them, as I did with Julie Norbury, – no, don’t tell me your articles are still in place when you talk – well that is a why I just had to take a listen to We Have Band, they already suck you in, perhaps I am getting too angry as I think about the waste on UK PR this band has spent, thank you Tell All Your Friends for the links.
Fortunately I have the music to take me off the boiled blood and I drift in to a far calmer space. There is a core energy to the material which draws the ear-flaps forward to capture the sound. Whilst the music is simple, the re-looping is where the creative talents of the band strike the fore-ground. Symbolic swoops rush ever back and forth while the rhythms wrap the listener in ever closer bonds entrancing the synapse to the beat and suddenly the party starts from no-where.
Best heard in company and with strobes, We Have Band is absolutely on the button.
