Twinkle and The Sluts is an agit-rock band from Stafford in England comprising of Twinkle (Vocals), Curlz (Drums), Alex (Guitar) and Ash! (Bass).

People often wonder why I fly in a rage when I hear a band from the 21st Century being described as a Punk Band by my fellow lazy music journalists – well simply it has nothing to do with the battles we fought – so let’s just clear this up -
Agit-rock is a far more apposite and relevant term as this agitates against the 21st Century not the ’70s and early ’80s. Having cleared that up – Twinkle and The Sluts has a sound that can’t help but writhe its way in to my ears.
Shearing out of the speakers is a battlework of rage against a world so enveloped in its own entrails that it is throttling itself. The sawing guitars don’t give a break to the ears and the hysteria in the vocals adds to the dimension of chasing circles down a drain of futility. Yet behind the prison-bars of sound there is a confident stridency that things can be changed.
I often wonder why more bands don’t contain this energy and anger, so it is always a pleasure to find there is a younger generation as angry as I still remain and Twinkle and The Sluts express that rage in a musical context of bullet points set to roaring guitar, thrashing drums, humming bass and vocal diatribe.
I must add this out-fit to my ‘must get to see’ bands.
