Much time has been spent by the duo in the studio on remixes and new material their debut LP Voltopia set for release digitally on the 28th May 2012. Helium Robots also have live performances in the pipe-line.
The music is a highly relevant and updated trance electronica fusion that does all it should in nestling in to the brain and more, as the duo deliver a synaptic waveform that coalesces in to the body forcing the heart rate to beat in syncopation. The material is all about mood and they have succeeded admirably in achieving a mood enhancer which is far more effective than a drug from a dealer.
I could easily stay in this space for the rest of the day and not realise time has passed. The music weighs light on the listening complexities enabling the audience to just float in to the mix, whilst in achieving this Lydia and Ewan stretch the electronics to shredding point. That is the sign of craftsmanship.
It will be interesting to hear the band develop and hope they spend more time developing their own sound-scape.
