A Thief at Heart

A Thief at Heart emerged in Portland in the USA in early 2011 and after something of a Road to Damascus moment Talon Bronson, Trevor Scott, Jacob Duffey and Kade Schagunn decided to self manage and have a new rock album, Good Company, due out in June 2012 to follow up the single Castle in the Sky and 2011 debut EP.

A Thief at Heart

Driven by a desire to demonstrate that rock isn’t dead A Thief at Heart has been busy playing gigs not too far away from home, which has resulted in both significant airplay and in the opportunity of a USA wide tour to launch the forthcoming Good Company.

I enjoy this for the simple roots from which the sound emerges, unpretentious, it is what is says on the tin. For those who get this reference I think bands such as A Thief at Heart should be called Ronson Bands, in fact this may become a site catch-phrase. For those who don’t get the reference, Ronson make paints, varnishes, etc. and each product is called what it is ie. ‘Ronson Outdoor Varnish’ and their strap line is ‘Does what it says on the tin’.

The quartet rack out their material with the smokers vocal, ripping guitar and thumping guitar and bass to be anticipated, more than this they do it extremely well and I would suggest a night out when and if  they appear near you , would be time well spent.
