100 Monkeys

100 Monkeys from Los Angeles in the USA are  a five piece outfit of multi-instrumentalists from an ecelctic backround, which is reflected in their music.

100 Monkeys

Not only do 100 Monkeys make me smile, they also take time to support charity causes, their home site has a space for Spencer Bell, readers of the myriad of connected sites will recall from last year, for those tow reasons alone I am delighted to introduce them to indie bands blog. Of far more import, are they actually any good?

Electronic rockabilly, I quite like the sound of that genre, 100 Monkeys demand the volume cranked upwards as they send out thumping beats to my brain. Superbly blending rock, blues and  world rhythm. Every track sends a nerve connection to my feet, which makes typing not the easiest thing to do.

A talented group of musicians who are seeking to explore an open space in the pantheon of music. 100 Monkeys manage to capture the essence of esprit-de-coeur with the listener as they individually range through their instrumentation. Who is your favourite vocalist?
