Gap1969 Carnaby Street

Indie bands blog has learnt news of an unusual event coming to London from 10th September by GAP, the retail store, which is celebrating 40 years of existence. The event called: GAP1969,  lasts for 19 days and 69 hours and will be taking place off Carnaby Street.

While times are not yet confirmed <see update below>, you can sign up for more information over here.

The Acts who are lined up to play live, acoustic sets in the store, which will only exist for the 19 days 69 hours of the event are: VV Brown, performing on the opening night. Taio Cruz, Ben’s Brother (written about on the indie bands blog here), Robert Bowden, MPHO, Temposhark, The Good Natured, Erik Hassle and Alan Pownall.

Over the next week or so I will get more information up about some of these acts, who are well worth a listen.

If anyone gets to GAP1969, which will also be aiming to raise funds for the Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa, and has pictures or videos it would be great to hear back from you.

Oh and if you want to shop while you are there, the pop-up store is also releasing limited edition jeans for the event.
