Death Valley Sleepers

From picturesque Copenhagen in Denmark comes the dreamy music of Death Valley Sleepers, originally a solo project from multi-instrumentalist and producer Tobias Winberg.  Now comprising Tobias (Vocal / guitar), Adam Winberg (Drums), Jesper Van (Bass), Christian Ki Dall (Guitar), Mads Jensen (Organ) and Kristina Romby (Vocal / Percussion).

Death Valley Sleepers

Another review by Robbie Gallagher, many thanks.

In April 2012 a self-titled debut album was released. Eastern drones and multi-layered vocals feature heavily in tracks such as “Small Town Bells” and “Left Me High”, infusing the experience with a neo-psychedelic air reminiscent of bands such as The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Dandy Warhols.

Denmark may have become something of an unofficial home for this style of music, with fellow nationals The Raveonettes producing their own sweet blend of psyche-infused pop rock. This year has also seen Death Valley Sleepers tour Europe extensively, so we may well be hearing more of them in the near future. Stay tuned!
